Cocktail making when on tour is a must. Cheese Journeys Educator and Tour Co-host Tenaya Darlington, aka Madame Fromage, leads the charge when it comes to mixing and serving up the most delicious blends of premium spirits and  libations, often distilled local to the region travellers are staying on tour, to create alchemical perfection. 

Guests learn to shake and stir using recipes from The New Cocktail Hour, co-authored by Tenaya herself (who has co-written four books on cocktails!), as cocktails are a pre-dinner ritual. And for those sipping rather than stirring, there’s always a terrace chair with a stunning view. Think Negronis or wine-based Bicicleta on our Italy tour, a Bijou or Marguerite on one of our French tours. Our tour of Britain even features unique drinks prepared with Scotch or hard cider!

All of our happy hours feature fresh, local ingredients and we highlight a different cocktail recipe every evening on tour so that guests can taste a range of unique flavours. We also pair cocktails with artisan cheeses and small plates from the kitchen. Cheers to that.
